Historic Landscape
A full landscape renovation inspired by an existing John McLaren Garden with Thomas Church touches.
This thoughtful garden renovation in Hillsborough required our team to carefully work with the client and design team to re-imagine the glory days of the early 20th century on the Peninsula. The project focused on returning the property to its former lush and welcoming state, with a complete resurrection of a long-ago abandoned water feature. For the home, the design team introduced thoughtful modernization yet preserved the home’s unique and artful features. The landscape bursts with vibrant colors in the hardscape and planting, recognizes the careful selection of hardscape and stone, and is heightened with annual bulb and flower planting colors. Heritage oak trees throughout the property are strategically used to frame the gorgeous views out over the bay, while special contemplative areas are situated perfectly to take advantage of the natural views and terrain. We were very fortunate to work on such an amazing project.
