This is a San Francisco rear garden with southern comfort. The Clients wanted to incorporate touches of southern charm after moving to San Francisco. Mature Magnolia grandiflora trees create an instant privacy barrier at the rear. The custom fire table and built-in seating provides a niche for lounging and warmth. Oversized concrete pavers were engineered and installed appropriately to provide a functional garden terrace with positive drainage above the basement structure. A tiered horizontal cedar fence delineates the rear garden perimeter.
